Objetrouve is an interadditive website, a repository of found objects - the detritus of everyday journeying and interaction - a contemporary cabinet of chance curiosities. Objetrouve's focus is on the aesthetics of chance combined with the construct of reason. Natural or manufactured, lost and found or formed and re-purposed, objects can be added to an ever expanding database and will build an 'accidental' group consciousness which will provide the knowledge base for the computer's vision. For as well as enabling the placement of found objects, Objetrouve's utilisation of 'machine vision' and 'neural network pattern recognition' will ultimately allow images of participants to be 'found' in the context of the collection.
